Minor Project 10 Proposal: By Krystopher Romanczak
The earth is an interactive living system that supports, sustains, and houses life. It is in this system that we as humans have the core responsibility to preserve, protect, and promote life.
Currently, the human race has caused more of a climatic change in the past 1,000 years, than earth has ever experienced since the extinction of the Dinosaurs. A slight increase in this rate will create an extinction level event greater than that extinction event.
Flash has the opportunity to merge technological advances that continue to pollute and destroy this planet with technology that will sustain, protect, and beautify our planet.
I would like to take this opportunity to show what Flash can do for the environment. Currently, I am going through a major renovation at my home.
I have introduced the idea of Solar Technology to supplement my electrical usage. Currently, the average American creates over 35,000 tons of Carbon emissions released into the atmosphere relating to their electrical usage. Using Solar and Wind power, and other alternatives, these emissions can be reduced to nearly 0.
My website will educate individuals on the feasibility of Solar conversions, wind conversions, and alternative electric suppliers that offer to sell only “Green” power.
With this project in mind, I have gone and purchased ATurnToGreen.Com; an excellent site that is easy to remember as well as containing the potential for easy advertisement and GOOGLE indexing. These features are critical in marketing as my target audience has no limit – rather the message is to educate everyone on Green-power emissions.
Harnessing the clean, renewable, and free power of the sun, one can use electricity in a manner that is consistent with a clean, safe, and long lasting environment. Action Script will allow myself as the designer to demonstrate how fun, exciting, and rewarding this change can be by utilizing it’s advanced capabilities for education and presentation of such alternatives.
